Moana Hideaway, a comfortable, cozy, and attractive beach front family-style home has returned to our exclusive portfolio of better quality beach homes as an upscale residence with an updated interior decor. New as of winter 2012-2013....Italian leather sofas in the main house and cottage living rooms, original oil paintings, bed covers, kitchen goods, dining table, living room side tables, and more!

Moana Hideaway features central air conditioning, a beach-entry ocean view heated swimming pool, a hot tub spa that cascades into the swimming pool, a cocktail and grilling cabana with an ice maker, fridge, deluxe grill with side burner, and wet bar sink. Verdant tropical landscaping surrounds the home. Outside by the pool is an enclosed shower and a half bath.

In 2018, a single family home will be under construction on a vacant lot that is located catty-corner from Moana Hideaway. There could be some audible noise during the construction hours of 7am-4pm Monday through Friday, with some work on the weekends. Rates have been adjusted as compensation for any possible audible noise. Additional claims will not apply. We believe noise may be minimal, as your vacation home faces the ocean with only the back of the property facing the construction site, which is across the street and some distance away.

Additional amenities at Moana Hideaway include bathrobes, high thread count cotton linens, and a well equipped kitchen. Please enjoy the high speed wireless internet access at no charge, multiple ethernet jacks for fast hard-wired connections, 7.1 surround sound system with Apple TV, an iPod dock, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, an X-BOX 360 HD, Xbox One and Wii game console systems, an assortment of board and video games, a safe for your valuables, and multiple flat panel high resolution televisions.

Included in the same per night rental rate is a free standing original traditional-style cottage home. The cottage has a living room, fully equipped kitchenette, queen bed, small shower bath, television/DVD and washer/dryer. The cottage sleeps two guests. In total, Moana Hideaway will provide a total of 4 bedrooms (King, Queen, 2 Twins or King, Queen), three full bathrooms all with showers (not tubs), 2 powder rooms, and an outdoor shower.

Just a few of the inclusive complimentary benefits provided are Personal Concierge Service, parking for several cars, high speed wireless internet access, local phone calls, mid-week housekeeping service (if renting for 7 nights or longer), tropical bath treats, and personalized in-villa greeting orientation. Moana's thoughtful owners have provided many special touches including a newly gated entry, large driveway with plenty of parking, an office work space with printer, security system, chef's knives, a state-of-art cappuccino and espresso maker & grinder, a computer with flat panel monitor for guest use, 4-in-1 office machine and fax, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox HD 360, Xbox One, Wii game console, a library of books, X-Box games, PlayStation games, and a library of CD and DVD discs.

A sprawling green grass lawn reaches from the Hideaway to the sandy shore, providing plenty of room to run around and play, or for a game of croquet or volleyball. The sandy shore in front of Moana Hideaway is sheltered by an ancient off-shore reef. The ocean gently laps along the shoreline, providing a terrific lagoon-like area of shallow warm water which is ideal for use by young children. If you are seeking a postcard perfect broad white sand swimming beach with sandy bottom, simply hop in the car and within minutes you will find no less than a dozen different sandy beaches to choose from. Most all nearby beach parks feature adequate free parking, restrooms, showers, picnic tables and some are staffed with lifeguards.

Moana Hideaway is located in Kihei on the beach side of a quiet single lane residential street. The home is set back off the residential lane, therefore the ambiance of the property is serene, tranquil, relaxing, and truly a dreamy Hawaiian hideaway. The property is decorated with lovely flowering and fragrant tropical plants and plumeria (frangipani) trees. Tropical song birds also make it their home. A secluded side yard provides a hidden corner perfect for private tanning. Moana Hideaway is a charming and comfortable newly built residence which maintains a very welcoming and casual ambiance.

From the Hideaway, in one direction you may walk to the grocery store, post office, bank, restaurants, doctor's office and even to the fabulous free county operated open air heated Olympic size lap pool and kiddie pool. In the other direction, you may walk just a pinch under one mile to a large convenient public park with night-lit basketball and tennis courts, skateboard ramp, in-line skating rink, and children's play equipment. Adjacent to the park is a collection of small boutique restaurants, grocery store, bars with live music, movie theater, Starbucks, yoga studios, and ethnic restaurants.

Moana Hideaway is laid out on one level, making it easy for movement impaired guests to enjoy.

A private chef is available for hire to grocery shop or to prepare and serve up to 3 meals per day. You may wish to consider the luxury of having a chef-prepared gourmet dinner served in-villa and al-fresco on your arrival evening! Ready to grill-yourself complete meals can be delivered, or fully cooked ready-to-eat dining including salads and snacks are additional options.

To enjoy the delightful swimming pools and water slides at the Grand Wailea Resort (height requirement applies), contact our Concierge for assistance with special overnight single room rates at the Grand Wailea Resort. One room rented at the Grand Wailea Resort for one night will entitle four guests per day to enjoy the facilities at The Grand Wailea Resort. Another way to enjoy the water slide and pools at the Grand Wailea Resort is to rent a private tent cabana at the Grand Wailea Resort pool area. Rental of a cabana provides access to for up to four persons per day per cabana. Reservations are accepted only within 24 hours on a space available basis. You do not have to stay at the Grand Wailea to enjoy this amenity. You may also rent sports gear and beach chaise lounges/umbrellas in front of the Grand Wailea on Wailea Beach, although we also provide portable beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, and coolers at Moana Hideaway. a) Quiet hours from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., during which time the noise from the short-term rental home shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area;

b) Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries of the short-term rental home is prohibited;

c) Vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area and shall not be parked on the street;

d) No parties or group gatherings other than registered guests shall occur;

e) The shoreline area is the property of the people of Hawai' i, and is open for the free use by everyone;

f) Occupancy is for 2 guests per bedroom; and

The cottage is approximately 50 feet from the main house. It has a separate alarm system.

This privately-owned home prefers to receive payment by check, e-check, wire transfer or similar low fees transfer process, to avoid having to raise rates. You will be given an opportunity to pay by credit/bank card, but the bank fees will be calculated into your payment as an additional cost - per the homeowner’s preference.

Housekeeping Services Provided A complimentary mid-week housekeeping service is included up to 8 hours if renting for 7 nights or longer at full published rates, except for select off-season periods. Personal laundry is excluded. Fresh towels are provided, bed linens are changed, trash is removed, supplies are replenished, exterior areas are touched up, and there is a light dusting and vacuum. Our villas are extremely well stocked with an abundant supply of towels, blankets and extra bed linens. There is plenty of inventory to suffice for several days. Within the villa there is a laundry room with a washer/dryer, laundry supplies, iron and board. During the Christmas and New Years holiday period, DAILY housekeeping is provided, with the exception that there is no housekeeping service on Christmas Day December 25 and on New Years Day January 1.
Extra Housekeeping Cost Additional a la carte housekeeping service is $40 per hour per housekeeper plus 4.166% GE tax with a 4 hour minimum.. Advance notice is requested. Subject to availability.

Pool A heated swimming pool is on the ocean side of the house. Outdoor Spa There is an outdoor in-ground hot tub spa that flows into the lovely new swimming pool.
Air Conditioning Central air conditioning system with two split zones in the main house. All rooms have ceiling fans. The cottage has a wall air conditioner in the bedroom and a portable air conditioner in the cottage. BBQ There is a propane built-in BBQ grill under a covered ocean front pavilion, along with a fridge, wet bar, sink.
Entertainment Surround-sound speakers and tuner in the living room along with the newest model of Harmony master remote which operates the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox HD 360, Xbox One (with hard drive/HD TV output/2 wireless controllers/Live headset/XBox remote), CD, DVD, iPod dock with multiple adaptors, Apple TV and HD TV with premium cable service and HD DVR. It is possible to display images from your Video ipod on the Sharp TV.
Dining There is indoor dining for six to eight guests. Outdoor dining accommodates 8 persons.
Approx Interior Size Main House is Approximately 2,290 square feet of indoor living space with a 225 square foot BBQ Cabana and 672 square foot garage. The separate cottage suite is 480 square feet inside with a 472 square foot covered outdoor patio. Approx Lot Size Approximately 17,524 square feet of ocean front property.

Standard Amenities
Most villas typically will be stocked with a barbeque grill, answering machine, alarm clocks, phone, television, video cassette recorder and/or DVD, CD stereo, washer & dryer, iron & board, coffee maker & grinder, microwave, blender, toaster oven, dishwasher, oven, range, ceiling fans, hair dryer, spices & herbs, paper & pen, kitchen supplies such as cookware, glassware, silverware, outdoor furnishings, starter supply of soap, paper, cleaning products and utensils, and dining, bed and bath linens. Usually some beach chairs and towels are provided. Guests often misplace beach towels and chairs therefore an exact inventory is not guaranteed unless reserving a luxury class home. Some homes also provide iPod docks, high speed internet access, wireless networks, fax machine, espresso/cappuccino machine, exercise equipment and other upscale toys. Please inquire if a specific amenity will improve your comfort or convenience.
Amenities Not Included
Provide your own toiletries, slippers, and wrap, however Private Paradise Villas does stock in its managed homes bathrobes and custom toiletries. Recreational equipment, if found on the property is incidental, and is not a guaranteed feature of the house inventory. Boogie Boards, Snorkel Sets, Surf Boards, Kayaks, Bicycles, and other sports equipment can be rented in advance through third party providers. Please inquire with our Concierge for reservations.
Rates Include
Direct local phone, parking (except at condominiums or hotels), Concierge assistance, optional greeting upon arrival, occupancy up to the maximum number of persons allowed, weekly pool/spa service, weekly gardening, post-departure cleaning if not charged separately, extra person fees and housekeeping services as noted up to the stated maximum amount.
Rates Do Not Include
In Hawaii, homes are provided on an a-la-carte basis and most incidental personal services are not included in the rates quoted. Not included are long distance phone (unless a property offers a fixed price monthly unlimited long distance calling plan, security/damage/incidentals/activity deposit, extra guest-requested pool, spa service or yard cleaning, personal laundry, extra housekeeping other than noted, Hawaii State General Excise Tax 4.166%, Hawaii State Transient Accommodations Tax 9.25%, food or beverages, CSA Vacation Rental Insurance, lei greeting, airport greeting, transfers, transportation, auto rental, rental bedding, child care supplies, child proofing services, sightseeing, tours, activities, baggage handling at airport or at villa, sports and water recreation supplies, replenishment of paper & soap products other than initial supply, and any other items or services not specifically listed as included.
Standard Policies
Respect the stated maximum occupancy allowed please! This is very important, as all private homes in our collection are the valuable and beloved second homes of individual private owners. The availability and future right to enjoy our multi-million dollar vacation homes is conditioned upon each guest respecting the owner's pre-disclosed specific terms and conditions. Remove your shoes upon entering your home, as Hawaii's volcanic soil can stain carpets, tile, and fabrics. Step outside to smoke please. No pets on property. Rinse off sand and sun lotions before walking on interior floors sitting on furniture. Sun products will stain upholstery and linens and may damage furnishings. Weddings, receptions, and gatherings are strictly prohibited on any of our properties, due to residential zoning codes which discourage non-residential use, boisterous use causing noise complaints, excessive occupancy causing parking problems in the neighborhood, or any use involving additional non registered guests on the property. Please inquire in advance if you will have other friends or family staying elsewhere on island if you plan to gather at your vacation home as one group. Neighborhood quiet hours are 8pm - 8am.
Cancellation Policy
REFUND & CANCELLATIONS: GUEST UNDERSTANDS AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE INITIAL PAYMENT BY GUEST IS NON-REFUNDABLE, UNLESS THE PROPERTY IS DAMAGED BY A CAUSE OTHER THAN GUEST NEGLIGENCE, OR IF THE PROPERTY IS OTHERWISE RENDERED UNFIT FOR HABITATION AND NO ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE PROPERTY CAN BE ARRANGED. IF GUEST CANCELS THIS RESERVATION, A REFUND OF GUEST'S INITIAL PAYMENT MAY BE MADE, LESS A PRE-DISCLOSED CANCELLATION CHARGE, BASED ON THE GROSS RENTAL AMOUNT AND TAXES ORIGINALLY DUE FOR THE RESERVATION, IF THE ACCOMMODATION IS RE-RESERVED BY ANOTHER PARTY FOR THE SAME DATES AND AT THE SAME RATE.
